Two other practical limitations can be seen in the case of digital marketing. One,digital marketing is useful for specific categories of products,meaning only consumer goods can be propagated through digital channels.Industrial goods and pharmaceutical products can not be marketed through digital channels. Secondly, digital marketing disseminates only the information to the prospects most of whom do not have the purchasing authority/power. And hence the reflection of digital marketing into real sales volume is skeptical.
Bounce Rate: Bounce rate is measured as the number of visitors that come to your site and only view one page before they leave again without completing an action. Bounce rates can gauge if your website is visually appealing, has good content and good user experience, and is easy to navigate if visitors are looking for certain info. While all businesses should take advantage of small adjustments to lower bounce rate, if your bounce rate is significantly above 40%, it’s time to audit your site and figure out what is driving visitors away. Sometimes simple common sense will give you the answer, or maybe you need user testing to identify the issue.

When I started my career two years ago, I was not aware of these tools, so I kept looking for the best and easiest ways to boost my business. I continued to add all the tools to my browser’s bookmarks for quick & easy access.
With the breadth and depth of social media services out there, it’s no wonder that we often find ourselves lost in the vast array of services. Further, those who are seasoned may seem at a loss in the apparent “simplicity” of it all. I took the opportunity to contact some of my esteemed friends and colleagues who are experts in their field and asked for their advice on their favorite little known social media secret and social media tools, including their own if they had them. Here’s what they told me:
Google Keyword Planner – Google offers a range of different tools and analytical platforms to keep data analysists happy – they are never without tools which help you plan, manage and optimize SEM strategies. Keyword Planner can be located within your AdWords dashboard under ‘tools’. You can still use it even if you don’t invest in AdWords. This is a great tool which allows you see the average monthly search volume for keywords and your average organic position for it. It also allows you to filter keywords by location and set parameters for Google or Google and search partners.
streams looking at the favourites of a few people: as stalkerish as that may sound, I find it interesting to dig through the list of content other people may find interesting enough to favourite, especially since not everything that’s favourited gets retweeted (think of a favourite as an intimate retweet);
My favorite, but least talked about marketing tool is Thrive Leads. This WordPress plugin has helped double my blog’s email opt-in rate to over 9% and allowed me to collect 734 new email subscribers in the last 5 weeks.

Tweetdeck: Tweetdeck is most probably every marketer’s best friend, and it’s one of the main places where I discover new topics and new people. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of Twitter apps for desktop (mainly because of the issues with Twitter tokens). Tweetdeck is a no-brainer me: it’s owned by Twitter, so I benefit from exclusive features that Twitter only makes available in its apps (such as being able to view Twitter Cards). I use Tweetdeck strategically: I follow over 600 people on Twitter, and I’m not immune to information overload. That’s why I have Twitter lists to help me consume all of that information in “digestible spoonfuls of data”. I have lists sorted by topics (e.g. technology, social media, news) and by language (I do switch from English to Italian from time to time). I also have a private list that I use to keep up with 25 people: these are 25 people whose content I love, admire, and find interesting; I update this list every month, just so I don’t keep talking to the same people over and over again. Lists aside, I have quite a few streams:
If you’re not leveraging interactions across every marketing channel like social media, your website, or the content your leads are consuming, it’s as if you’re only listening to your leads 30% of the time. Have you ever been on the phone with a sales rep who doesn’t answer your questions and reads straight from a pre-generated script without taking your specific needs into account? Did you end up buying from that company?
Thanks for sharing this great collections. Despite we are a project focused on discovering, sharing, collecting new tools to be more productive, some of the tools above mentioned are new for us. We will add to our list.
