Basically, both tools use similar, yet slightly different approaches to rank the influence of blogs, bloggers and others. Most importantly, they both start with relevance as the key measure, which is – in many ways – the most important element. Of course, they also take reach and resonance into account. Interestingly, they’re both utilizing some form of keyword search as well, so you can get very granular to see if someone is influential on a topic at a very finite level.

He discovered that MailChimp’s marketing automation made it possible not only to tell his story, but to really engage his customers. See how automation helps Henry’s House of Coffee keep tradition alive.
I was looking for a tool to help nonprofit maintain our website press coverage pages. Ideally the tool would search the web for content written ABOUT my organization and notify us when it finds something (kind of like google alerts/scoop.it), we could then approve & publish (kind of like scoop.it) and it would publish to our website in a format most commonly used in media/press rooms. Not only can I not find one tool that preforms all these functions, I can not find anything that does the last part.
Strategic analysis is designed to address the first strategic question, “Where are we now?” Traditional market research is less useful for strategic marketing because the analyst is not seeking insights about customer attitudes and preferences. Instead strategic analysts are seeking insights about the firm’s operating environment with a view to identifying possible future scenarios, opportunities and threats.
In terms of understanding your audience and giving them what they want, Mailchimp’s A/B testing feature is gold. It allows you to design two entirely different emails — or just two different subject lines — and send option A to one-half of your subscribers and option B to another while tracking opening rates for both. That way, you collect valuable information about what speaks to your audience and learn how to craft amazing content that drives up your opening rates in the future and ultimately helps increase your page conversions. Since email is still the driving force behind e-commerce purchases this November, you’ll want to definitely up your game to make every email count.

7. Repeat after me – “I have an ugly baby.” A lot of business owners love their websites, but the first step to improving your website is to admit that it has some deficiencies. Channels: Where are your visitors coming from? Is it organic search traffic? Referral? Paid? This helps businesses gauge your marketing efforts. For example, if you are running radio ads, you may see a spike in direct traffic because you mention your website at the end of the ad. If you’re investing in SEO, you will see movement — hopefully an increase — in your organic search traffic. If you’re running a Facebook contest, you’d hope to see more visits from social. The breakdown in channels basically helps businesses see which marketing efforts are driving the most eyeballs to their site. By engaging other metrics like bounce rate and conversion rate, you will find out if your website is what users want to see.
What’s important to keep in mind is that there are two sides to any commerce equation. If both buyers and sellers are too focused on their own goals, the critical ‘connection’ moment will never happen. Stop talking about why you’re awesome, and start focusing on why your audiences should care. That’s when you’ll see conversion success.
