Tens of millions of Americans know Amazon as customers, but life inside its corporate offices is largely a mystery. Secrecy is required; even low-level employees sign a lengthy confidentiality agreement. The company authorized only a handful of senior managers to talk to reporters for this article, declining requests for interviews with Mr. Bezos and his top leaders.

This is where you dig even deeper to understand your ideal shopper. Who are they? What do they like? How can you tailor both your product and your website experience to appeal to your perfect shopper?
The Listings Notifications and Report Notifications are critical to read, as you will be notified when one of your listings have been changed by another seller or merged by Amazon. Having your listings changed can be a very frustrating aspect of selling on listings shared with competitors, as a competitor may make an inaccurate change to the listing that results in your customers seeing the wrong information on a product that you are selling (if that happens, make sure to contact Seller Support asking for help getting the listing modified again).
I’m glad you’ve decided to take initiative. I would’ve started with FBA as well, if my age didn’t deny it. Hopefully you’ll do well and your family will realize that you were able to become succesful despite their beliefs. I live abroad the USA. You talked about such a case in a couple of places. I still would like to know more about the shipping part. Is it worth it to send products from the supplier to my house and than from there to Amazon in the USA? It is clear to me, that after having prep and inspect service this wouldn’t be a problem anymore. But as a beginner and with the samples this isn’t yet possible. What would you recommend?

If you expect to be storing a large inventory of products, you might have to check out your local lease or zoning codes. However, this can be avoided by using drop shipping. This is a fulfillment method where you don’t hold any inventory. Instead, when a customer buys a product, you ship it directly from a third party manufacturer to the customer.

I also sold another more pricey item. It sucks that if the buyer lies and says it is broken that I have to pay the $20 shipping and end up -$40 shipping for the transaction (plus $15 Amazon fees). I am never selling on Amazon again. It might work well for people that sell thousands of items and have a Pro Seller account, but small sellers can get burned. I am going back to shopping from other retailers not Amazon.
