Search for the item you want to sell on the Amazon website. Search Amazon’s database by selecting the category that you think best fits your item and by using keywords. Keywords could include the name of the item, title of the book or film, as well as the edition of the product. You can also search by ISBN, UPC or ASIN. Note: The following are real stories that either I or my close colleagues have experienced first hand from selling on Amazon. While Amazon is great way to make money right now, you have to be careful and not put all of your eggs in Amazon’s basket.

This does mean that you’re likely going to lose money on these sales at the beginning, but it’s important that you have this budget in place, because as I mentioned, you do need these initial sales in order to get your listing launched and ranked for some keywords so that you can begin to get natural organic sales.

I already stopped selling on amazon when they started requiring “2 step verification” which means, you not only have to give them your mobile cell phone number, but it has to be VERIFIED as a valid cell phone number. You will then be BOMBARDED with calls from all the telemarketers amazon has sold your information to for profit. Not nice amazon!

You can sell your products in numerous ways. 1. Link your website on other similar sites, and in exchange, you link their website on your pages. 2. Look for free websites like Craigslist.org, local.com, Google+, etc. 3. Use all the social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin.com, or Google Hangouts. I have a factory that makes wood products, such as flooring, decking, outdoor furniture and other things, but it is all sold through traditional channels i.e. merchants who buy by the container load and sell in their retail stores. your blog posts are amazing- very easy to understand compared to other posts I’ve read on the net. I have listed a new product I have designed on Amazon as a FBM seller but considering changing to FBA. Do you have any guidance about listing new innovation on Amazon – I seem to be having trouble getting my product seen as an individual seller. Do you think FBA is a better idea? I’m new to all this 🙂
