It has not yet been available in the market so no UPC code or ASIN code or EAN code… I am really got confused with these codes. Are they compulsory to be sticked on the product? And If I chose FBA, which code do I have to use? And for 50 small items for example, If I would love to send to Amazon store, do I have to label all 50 items with seperate barcode and the label must be label directly on the product or on it’s package? What happens if for some reason the products sent through to Amazon ( for warehousing and delivery ) never sell ? Do I have charges / costs/ penalties to pay Amazon ? I accepted the label service because I didn’t want to print out my own stickers. It was only 20 cents per item to have Amazon label my items. That being said, if you want to keep your margins high, you may consider printing your own stickers and labeling your products.
I’m glad you’ve decided to take initiative. I would’ve started with FBA as well, if my age didn’t deny it. Hopefully you’ll do well and your family will realize that you were able to become succesful despite their beliefs. I can’t tell you exactly at what point the government should step in to block Amazon from buying another company or curtail some of its business practices. I am, however, fairly confident in saying that it ought to be well before Amazon achieves a 40 percent market share in books, groceries, clothing, hardware, electronics and home furnishings. And it ought to be before Amazon pulls even with UPS in shipping, Oracle in computing and Comcast in media content. Khan’s reasonable insight is that if we don’t yet have the tools to identify when companies have reached that competitive tipping point, then someone ought to invent them.
