And how will you determine the value of your company when it comes time to sell or bring in equity partners or to get business LOC? How do you create your brand and become a familiar brand? I assume you maintain a customer database, as such databases also have value both while the company is in your hands and the company is to be sold?

This, in essence, is expressing ownership of your products to Amazon. It will help add a layer of protection to your brand and product listings, as well as open more seller brand marketing features to you, such as Enhanced Brand Content.

Normally when you list a product on Amazon you need to accept the product details Amazon has for that product. When you’re listing under your own brand it becomes your product and you can optimize it as you see fit.
Don’t use jargon. If you are offering technical expertise, include descriptions that appeal to your client base, not your peers. For example, if you are showing that you can code with PHP and AJAX, don’t say “in this case, if the input field is empty (str.length==0), the function clears the content of the txtHint placeholder and exits the function.” The person who needs you to work on their site will just scratch their head and say “huh?” Say, instead, “Start entering text into this field, and it will auto-complete.”

Increase Sales- Shoppers on Amazon have come to the Marketplace with the explicit intent to purchase, or at the very least are looking to browse. Online search, advertising and other forms of online exposure do not guarantee that same bottom of the funnel-audience. Bottom Line- people on Amazon are more likely to buy.
Amazon has decided to makes friends rather than enemies. Amazon signs up merchants for their third-party business and agrees to ship their items faster and cheaper- for a commision of course. Amazon doesn’t reveal how many third-party sellers it has in its marketplace, but some 40% of all goods sold on the site are via third-party sellers, accounting for roughly 12% of Amazon’s total revenue.
By the end of the week, hopefully your book has eclipsed the top 5,000 or 10,000 overall paid ranking. Wholesale e-commerce saw $1.96 trillion in sales in 2013, according to Census data, while e-commerce retail sales were only expected to his $304.9 billion in 2014. Amazon is trying to take a bigger slice of that B2B pie.
Although Amazon’s phone was a massive flop, the hardware division that produced it, Lab126, sort of stumbled into what has become a surprise hardware success story for Amazon. The lab had been working on an augmented-reality product that used voice activation to control it. As Bloomberg reported, that product never saw the light of day, but the voice technology was ported into the Echo, a speaker that can control internet-of-things devices, order you an Uber, or play your favorite songs on Spotify, all enacted by, Alexa, a built-in voice assistant.

That being said, here you don’t have the benefit of Amazon promoting your course. You have to do the promoting yourself through your own website, your email list, and possibly through affiliate partnerships. You also need to create a compelling sales page that will convince visitors to buy from you.

But one of the biggest rookie mistakes to avoid at all costs is selling what I like to call ‘Me Too’ products. New sellers are often tempted into private labeling a product that is selling well on the Amazon Top 100 Best Sellers list. They see a product selling well and understandably think it’s feasible to get in and capture a piece of the profits for themselves.
