I am really scared now to even start my business on Amazon. I’ve done my research on Amazon and I do agree with the fact that you must use amazon to get some popularity and then, make your own website that you can sell. I believe in my product, but now I am scared! What if my account gets deleted by amazon or what if I get sued for something….?

To preserve its cachet, L’Anza made its U.S. distributors sell only to exclusive boutiques and salons at high prices. But L’Anza sold its shampoo more cheaply in Europe, where it was less known. So several tons of L’Anza shampoo intended for distribution in Malta ultimately ended up on a ship headed for Ronkonkoma, for Quality King to sell wherever. (You could say it fell off the back of a boat.) L’Anza sued, claiming a Copyright Act violation, but the Supreme Court ruled unanimously for Quality King: A company buying products on the open market can resell them as it sees fit.
A company like Amazon could (and did) record every move a visitor made, every last click and twitch of the mouse. As the data piled up into virtual heaps, hummocks and mountain ranges, you could draw all sorts of conclusions about their chimerical nature, the consumer. In this sense, Amazon was not merely a store, but an immense repository of facts. All we needed were the right equations to plug into them’.

Some decisions are consequential and irreversible or nearly irreversible — one-way doors — and these decisions must be made methodically, carefully, slowly, with great deliberation and consultation. If you walk through and don’t like what you see on the other side, you can’t get back to where you were before. We can call these Type 1 decisions. But most decisions aren’t like that — they are changeable, reversible — they’re two-way doors. If you’ve made a suboptimal Type 2 decision, you don’t have to live with the consequences for that long.
