omg yes.amazon have been running me ragged for months now refusing to close my buyer and seller accounts and pay me what they owe me from my last sale . managers have been routinely ignoring my attempts to escalate the problem and I even had to change my credit card number to stop Amazon from taking money from my account literally ANY time that they felt like it- even asking my card provider to block them wasn’t enough because they just continued to steal money using a different code. The stress they have caused has made me so exhausted and I’ll that I’m barely able to function and they STILL have not done as I asked.

The company is currently running a beta test of Amazon Go, a store that uses cameras and sensors throughout the store to automatically track what a customer has picked out, and automatically charges them as they leave. It’s possible due to the drastic improvement in AI-driven object recognition, which allows Amazon software to autonomously detect and track a shopper throughout the store using multiple cameras. However, reports suggest the beta store has trouble keeping track of multiple people in the store. They’ll want to sort that one out.

KHAN: Yeah, that’s a great question. So I think there are a couple of ways you could do it, but I think one of the main issues with Amazon right now is that there is a huge conflict of interest baked into its business model, and this is because Amazon is a infrastructure service for all of these other companies. But it’s also competing directly with many of the companies that are using its platform. So you see this, you know, in sector after sector where you have all these independent producers that are reliant on Amazon’s platform to reach consumers, but oftentimes they find that Amazon has actually introduced a replica good oftentimes through, you know, spotting what’s doing well on its platform. And I think that is a really – a parasitic dynamic that we’re now seeing where you have these independent producers that are undertaking the initial risk of bringing a good to market, but it’s ultimately Amazon that’s able to reap off of that risk.
So you see by ranking or appearing on these search term pages is how customers discover you and how you get sales. A brand new listing, like yours, is probably going to be on page 20 or 50 and never get seen by the customers.
